Success
takes many forms, from overcoming your laziness and getting out of bed to
dominating your friend in a brutal whip cream war. Which I may or may not have
started, This is my victory pose after I completely and totally destroyed her
in the war. It was hard and messy but she will never come at me with a can of
whip cream again. THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE HIGHLANDER!
Success
is a hard thing to accomplish. The very act of succeeding in life cannot be
accomplished by yourself. You need people to build you up and support you, the
bible says that steel sharpens steel. Surround yourself with good strong people
that you can always count on. This picture was taken before I deployed, it contains
two of the people that are very influential in my life. My brother Davey and my
sister Kristi. I was saying good bye to them getting read to drive back to
base. They are the support for the long road ahead.
Just
like you need to have a group of strong people behind you, you also have to
have the right gear. Things that will aid you in your journey to success. The right
tools can make it so you sink or swim. I was on duty in Africa and one of the
navy cats left there helmet laying around, so I took it and did duty in one of
the village people hats.
The
road to success is never ending, the path is unknown and a little scary at
first. You will find yourself a lot of times alone staring out wondering which
way to go and how you are going to get there. This picture was taken on a boat
house on a vacation I went on with my family. When you are stuck on a boat
house with your family peace and quiet is rare, so you enjoy it when you can.
Don’t
be discouraged, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Failure is but a
moment in your long life. Don’t ever let your fears and pains stop you, tomorrow
is another day and what was so over whelming yesterday may have lost some of
its terror today. I took this picture in Africa after a unit run. It was too
hot to run during the day so we ended up running in the morning or at night. It
was a nice welcome when I got back to my tent.
Great photos that add to the message of the words in the post. I especially like the one on the houseboat. It does look very peaceful but I can understand what you mean about how rare that can be when on a family vacation. Nice post. Thanks for sharing all of this with us./

I really like what you say on your last picture, I think it's 100% true. I also like that you took the picture!
